Perfumes, Eau De Parfums, Eau De Toilettes & Colognes are all different.

You are never fully dressed without a perfume and the more it stays the better it reflects. Do you know that there is an option for you to choose how long you want to carry the fragrance with you. The word “perfume” actually meant; “through smoke”. Every time you pick that bottle of perfume, I am pretty sure you notice Eau de Parfum, Eau de Toilette or Eau de Cologne written on it. Do you also overlook it just because you feel every perfume smells and works the same? But to bring in your surprise, the fact says no two perfumes are of the same kind! This is why the fragrances last differently for different perfume. It is not because of the international perfume brands that make the essence long lasting but the ingredients that inculpate its success. It’s better to know your fragrance closely, so let’s spray you with some wisdom on perfumes today!

The distinction between International Perfumes is actually a ranking based on the lasting duration of the fragrance which is achieved by the concentration or amount of oil in the scent. Every fragrance has a different concentration of key essence that makes it last for a no. of hours. That is why you feel the fragrance to be different at different point of time. To be precise you can actually divide the fragrances into 4 categories- Cologne, ‘Eau de Toilette’, ‘Eau de Parfum’, and Parfum.

Perfumes are basically a combination of 3 notes- top, middle, and base. These notes are released, in that order, over a period of time. Flowers, grasses, spices, fruit, wood, roots, resins, balsams, leaves, gums, and animal secretions — as well as resources like alcohol, petrochemicals, coal, and coal tars are used in the manufacture of perfumes. Want to take it a notch up of your regular deodorant? Try a perfume for that!

Different categories and uses -

· The first stair in the perfume town goes to ‘Cologne’. It has only 4–8% essential oil. concentrates. The scent fades away faster than compared to the rest of perfume and these can be applied repeatedly. These are also sold in larger lots and are the least expensive of all. Now don’t blame the product if it’s your mistake to buy a cheap cologne range of perfume.

· The second out of the lot is the ‘Eau de Toilette’ or EDT. It has only 8–12% essential oil. Concentrates and fades away rather quickly. It is lighter and has a refreshing scent suitable typically for warmer climates. You get these in higher volumes, since you have to spray more. Nice thing to have at times.

· Next come the ‘Eau de Parfum’, or EDP, which contains 15% perfume concentrates. The middle note becomes noticeable once the top note has faded away and is also the dominant one. This is the second most powerful fragrance available with 12- 18% of essential oil concentration. This is something to remain in memory for quite a long time.

· A ‘Perfume’ is the strongest and the most long lasting fragrance with strongest ingredients so that it stays for more than 6 hours after application. It has 18% and above concentration of essential oils. It has the middle note as the most powerful one. It is also most expensive as it contains more concentration of essences but truly a value for money. Sophistication begins from here.

All the fragrances are made of some special ingredients; the International perfumes are a collection of alcohol, oil and herbs. It is neutral to skin and leaves a soothing cooling effect due to its ingredients. A perfume is your trigger to the memory lane. The more it stays, the better it affects. Invest on the best fragrance by going through the minute details that make your scent smell unique and bold, spreading its secret charisma everywhere.
